NPCs in Titan Quest 2 are all the individuals in the game that the player can interact with. Some NPCs will have an exclamation mark above their head, and you can interact and speak to them to start or advance a Quest. NPCs can also be categorized as Merchants, and you will find them throughout your journey. You will be able to tell they're merchants as they will always be standing beside wagons, tents, market stands, or carts. They will also have an icon above their head that will indicate what type of merchant they are. To buy from a merchant, you just need to click over the merchant to bring up the panel and see their inventory. Do note that most information written here is based on speculations from the previous game, and this page will be updated accordingly once more information has been released.
Merchants can be divided into three types:
- Traders - Basically general merchant that carries a basic and standardized selection of trade goods. They can be categorized by the icon of a bag of money.
- Blacksmith - This merchant specializes in items that the Hunting, Warfare, or Rogue mastery characters will use. They can be categorized by the icon of double swords.
- Arcanist - This merchant specializes in magic and spells and has items that lore enthusiasts would buy. They can be categorized by the spellbook icon.
