Crafting in Titan Quest 2 covers the various elements of the crafting mechanic for the game. A new crafting mechanic not heavily touched upon as of yet is Affix Crafting. From its name, we can speculate that this mechanic will allow you to modify, or even add, new modifiers onto any weapon, allowing you to transform even the most basic equipment into legendary status. This will open up a whole new avenue in equipment and build customization not seen in the original Titan Quest. As with Relics and Charms, there is a chance that Blue and Purple items will not be available for Affix Crafting.

How does Crafting work in Titan Quest 2?
In the previous installment, players were allowed to put socketable Relics and Charms into their gear to modify or add specific bonuses to help them during combat and exploration. Relics and Charms are farmable from certain monster types. These Relics and Charms have a predetermined item slot that they can socket into, so players would know if the Relics or Charms they've obtained can be slotted on their gear. Monsters can also drop Arcane Formulas, which are essentially recipes for crafting Artifacts. Artifacts are powerful magical talismans that bestow unique powers, they must be equipped and slotted to grant players passive skills. The recipes that drop from monsters will have a list of items that players will need in order to craft an Artifact, they can then visit a Merchant and purchase the necessary items, then put the listed items on the dedicated slot of the Equipment page, and craft the artifact for a certain amount of gold. We can expect to see this mechanic come back in Titan Quest 2 and maybe even expand or improve the crafting system.
