Armor in Titan Quest 2 consists of various sets and pieces of gear that provide defenses and additional bonuses to the player's character. Armor consists of 4 types of pieces: Head, Torso, Arms, and Legs. Each piece of armor can be equipped on its respective equipment slot. Armor provides defense, which decreases the incoming damage from Physical attacks. Armor pieces are usually obtained as rewards from completing quests, purchased from merchants, looted from various locations, or dropped by enemies and bosses. This page will indicate a list of all the Armor Pieces in Titan Quest 2 which will include its description and values. You can find detailed information on its location and properties on each individual page linked below.

Armor Mechanics in Titan Quest 2

From the previous game, Titan Quest, armor mainly reduces the damage taken from Physical attacks, and Pierce damage completely ignores armor. Physical damage was the most common type of damage from the previous game, and the damage reduction from physical attacks is more complex than other damage types. When a player or an enemy receives physical damage, the location of which the body part will take damage is chosen randomly, but the chances to hit a particular body part have certain percentages: 40% of attacks can hit the Torso, and the rest of the body parts, Head, Arms, and Legs have 20% chance. If the part is protected by an armor piece, it reduces the physical damage taken, but if that part is not equipped with an armor piece, it will take the full physical damage of the attack.

Your character will take reduced damage equivalent to the armor value for any Physical damage taken, and Masteries will contribute bonus armor across all body locations. However, if the damage surpasses the armor value at a specific location, your character will take the excess damage in full. Armor also reduces physical damage by 66%, meaning it doesn't fully absorb the damage. Additionally, Pierce damage completely ignores armor, it can also be referred to as "Armor Absorption". Skill trees offer various abilities to enhance the 66% Armor Absorption, significantly increasing the effectiveness of an equipped armor.

Enhancing Armor in Titan Quest 2

Armor could be enhanced through socketing Relics and Charms. These two socketable items were acquired as set drops from enemies in certain acts, and provided basic stat boosts, as well as set bonuses when enough of the same Relic or Charm were socketed in. They were upgradable through the game's relatively simple crafting system. By combining three of the same Relic and five of the same Charm, you could enhance the effects of these items. Do note that Blue and Purple items could not have Relics and Charms socketed into them. This mechanic will likely return in Titan Quest 2.
