What is Titan Quest 2?
Titan Quest 2 is a Hack and Slash ARPG and the sequel to the original Titan Quest game released back in 2006. Previously published by THQ and developed by Iron Lore Entertainment, this second Titan Quest installment has been picked up by THQ Nordic and is being developed by Grimlore Games, the developers of Spellforce 3. Following a trend in revitalizing beloved old game series, with Baldur's Gate 3 coming out 23 years after the initial Baldur's Gate 2 release date and Dragon's Dogma 2 set to be released 12 years after its predecessor's release, Titan Quest 2 has been announced after 17 years.
Like the first game, Titan Quest 2 is set in a fantastical version of Ancient Greece. From the first trailer, we know that the main antagonist of the game is Nemesis, Goddess of Retribution. She is seen corrupting the Threads of Fate, dooming those who don't bow down to her to a fate worse than death, though for what reason remains yet to be seen. Players will be able to set out on an adventure worthy of myth that takes them from picturesque beaches, to serene Greek temples, to places where no mortal has ever ventured, including the mysterious realm of the Moirai themselves. Battle classic creatures from Greek myth and the original Titan Quest, including Ichthians, Centaurs, Satyrs, Harpies, Sirens, Gryphons, and many, many more.
Masteries are set to return to the game. Through this advanced Skill Tree, players will be able to mix and match two masteries specializing in different aspects of combat, such as melee fighting, elemental damage, defense, or control skills, to create their own unique Class. Titan Quest 2 will also feature a comprehensive affix crafting system that will allow players to customize their weapons to fit their builds and even turn common weapons into legendary weapons worthy of fables.

Titan Quest 2 will be available on PC (Steam/Microsoft Windows), Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation®5. The original Titan Quest was ported onto the Nintendo Switch in 2018, but it remains to be seen if Titan Quest 2 will be available on the Switch on release.
